I. Introduce of Castrol Magna SW DX 220

• Castrol Magna SW DX Range (previously called Magnaglide™ DX 68 and DX 220) have excellent demulsifying and adhesive properties. This combination prevents mixing with water miscible cutting fluids and also prevents extrusion and/or washing off of the lubricating film during use with water miscible cutting fluids. Stick slip movements are avoided even with high loads, which can impair the tool slide working accuracy. Magna SW DX Range have constant glide behaviour, excellent adhesion (for horizontal and vertically guide ways), good wear protection as well as the excellent corrosion protection and ageing resistance. Application Magna SW DX Range are suitable for lubrication of slideways and guides on tool machines. These products are especially suitable for plastic coated guideways. With use of Magna SW DX Range, possible swelling of the plastics won’t occur like they can with use of conventional, non-demulsifying slideway oils.
• Castrol Magna SW D 220 (previously called Magnaglide D 220) is specially formulated for the lubrication of slideways on machine tools. These oils are fortified with selected oiliness, extreme pressure additives and a special material to impart tackiness and adhesiveness.
  Magna SW D lubricants are noted for their usual ability to overcome the stick-slip motion ordinarily associated with slow moving tool parts. They reduce machine tool carriage chatter and possess the necessary adhesive characteristics to prevent squeezing out of the lubricant.
• Magna SW D can be used on all horizontal and vertical slideways where a high quality demulsifying lubricant is required for slideway protection and to maximize coolant life; the outstanding frictional characteristics of the products prevents stick-slip.
